ACCESS POINT
CONTEXT
Universities often provide document adaptation services, yet the experience of accessing them remains relatively inaccessible: Requests are scattered across emails, learning platforms, PDFs, and personal communication with lecturers, leaving students dependent on institutional processes they cannot easily navigate or control.
This project emerged from the observation that accessibility is not only about the final document, but also about the system surrounding it. thus, The project explores what happens when accessibility becomes the foundation of an entire service rather than a final outcome.
WHAT HAS BEEN DONE
Designed a centralized platform that enables students to request accessible versions of academic materials without relying on fragmented university processes.
For that, reframed document adaptation from a hidden administrative service into a transparent, user-controlled workflow where requests can be submitted, tracked, and discussed in one place.
Ultimately, built a complete accessibility-first experience spanning onboarding, request creation, status tracking, and ticket-based communication, with WCAG principles serving as the foundation for the entire design.
